Can I use Google Classroom to create my student profiles?

Using Google Classroom is an easy way for teachers to create student profiles on Epic. This feature is only available on the web/iOS versions of Epic at this time.

How to import from Google on web:

  1. Log into your Epic for Educators account (enter your password).
  2. Hover your mouse over 'My Students' and select 'Roster'.
  3. Click on the 'Add Students'
  4. Click Import Google Classroom
  5. Sign in to your Google account
  6. Click the Checkbox next to your class and click import to move the entire class.
  7. Click the arrow to the right of the class to select individual students.

How to import from Google on iOS:

  1. Log into your Epic for Educators account (enter your password).
  2. Tap on the 'Add Students'
  3. Click Import Google Classroom
  4. Sign in to your Google account
  5. Click the Checkbox next to your class and click import to move the entire class.
  6. Click the arrow to the right of the class to select individual students.

Please note only student names will be imported. If you wish to assign a PIN to the profiles, you will still need to do that manually by editing the profiles one at a time.

Note: Currently the import Google Classroom feature is not available on our Android app. If your school uses Android devices, you can create your student profiles by using 'Create a profile' feature on the Educator dashboard rather than importing them or you can use Web/iOS devices to import students. (You can still see these imported profiles on your educator dashboard when you use Android devices.)
