In order to clear your Epic classroom of last year's students and start a new classroom, you can transfer or delete the existing student profiles, and then add your new students to your Epic roster.
Here are the steps to delete a student profile (web):
- Log into your Epic Educator account
- Select "Roster" under the 'My Students' tab located in the upper right
- Select the boxes to the left of the student profile(s) you would like to delete
- Select 'Remove Student' in the top right.
- Click 'Remove' in the pop-up window to confirm removing the selected student(s)
- If you want to remove the entire class, don't check any boxes, and just click "Archive Class" above the roster.
Here are the steps to delete a student profile (iOS):
- Log into your Epic Educator account
- Tap your educator avatar to go to your teacher dashboard.
- Click 'Profile Options' for the profile you want to delete.
- Select 'Remove from Class' or 'Delete Profile'.
- Click 'Confirm' in the pop-up window to confirm removing the selected student.
Note: The Guest profile cannot be deleted as the Educator Dashboard requires at least one student profile in addition to the teacher profile. The archive class feature is only available on the website, at this time.
How to transfer a student profile:
(Please be aware this is only possible on the website at this time).
- Log into your Epic Educator account
- Select "Roster" under the 'My Students' tab located in the upper right
- Select the boxes to the left of the student profile(s) you would like to transfer
- Select 'Transfer Student' in the top right
- Enter the email address of the new teacher for the selected student(s) in the pop-up window and click 'Send Request'

Here are the steps to add new student profiles:
- Log into your Epic educator account (if you're using the app, you will need to enter your password again after selecting "Teacher Login" on the profile select screen, and tap your avatar to get to your dashboard).
- Select "Roster" under the 'My Students' tab located in the upper right.
- Select ‘Add Student’ or 'Create Profile' at the top.
- Fill in the applicable fields
- Click the 'Add Student’ button.
