How do Audiobooks and Read-to-Me Books count toward reading goals on Epic?

Audiobooks and Read-to-Me books each contribute to a child’s reading goals differently.

Read-to-Me-books (Green-tagged) count towards the total number of books finished for badges and achievements!

Audiobooks (Purple-tagged) contribute differently to reading goals.

How Audiobooks Count:

• Listening for more than 60 seconds counts toward the child’s overall reading time (total hours on the platform)
• They count toward the total books finished shown on the Activity Log.
• They grant XP (experience points) for leveling up, but only the first time a specific audiobook is completed
• Finishing a quiz related to the book earns a Quiz Trophy

Audiobooks Do NOT Count for These Stickers/Goals:

• Books Finished sticker (unique books)
• Daily Goal' sticker (daily reading threshold) 
• Reading Streak sticker (maintaining a daily reading streak)
• Time spent listening does not count toward the time needed for this specific trophy
• Clicking 'Favorite' or giving a 'Rating' on an audiobook does not count for these respective stickers
